CalAgTour.org

The University of California maintains an online agritourism database at http://calagtour.org, which was developed to bring together people who enjoy unique rural getaways with farmers who offer them.

The database lists farms by county, region and categories that include direct sales, educational experience, entertainment and accommodation.  A more detailed search form steers visitors to exactly what they’re looking for, from fresh picked berries to petting zoos to wine tasting.

A search of the database can make loading picnic baskets with freshly picked produce easy. Roadside stands, U-pick operations and farmers' markets are listed for most California counties. Website visitors will find ag-related excursions at pumpkin patches, Christmas tree farms, corn mazes, farm-animal petting zoos, wineries, ag heritage museums, festivals and fairs wherever they travel. Country-style relaxation is available to them at on-farm bed and breakfasts and dude ranches listed in the database.
