UC Master Gardener Program

Advice to Grow By

UC Master Gardener engages with community volunteers throughout the state to bring research-based information to enhance our communities through improved home horticulture and pest management. 

4-H Youth Development

Healthy, happy, thriving people who make a positive difference in their communities.

Through community volunteers in counties all across the state, 4-H empowers youth and adults helping build capable, confident, contributing members of society. 

Nutrition Family and Consumer Sciences

  • Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP)

    EFNEP engages schools and communities to help under-served members of society build healthy families and communities.

  • UC Master Food Preserver Program

    Preserve today, Relish tomorrow”.

    UC Master Food preserver engages with community volunteers throughout the state to bring research-based practices to communities for safe home food preservation. 

  • UC CalFresh

    UC Calfresh (implemented through UC ANR, and managed out of UC Davis) engages communities building healthy people through healthy eating and healthy living.
