A stroll through our madrone woodland will allow participants to see one of the key habitats for foraging. We will finish the morning off with the opportunity to taste mushroom appetizers before you make your way into town to enjoy lunch at one of Hopland’s great restaurants.
5-7pm – Dinner in the Oaks
A chance to dine in the midst of the incredible 5,300 acre UC Hopland Research and Extension Center at their Rod Shippey Hall. Dinner will include some of the best of the counties local produce and Hopland wine including mushroom themed dishes to complement the morning’s foraging event offered at the center. After dinner Center Director, Dr. Kim Rodrigues and Professor Justin Brashares will share with diners some of the cutting edge research being conducted on the site from oaks to sheep and mountain lions!
Stick around to enjoy world famous acoustic guitar with Alex De Grassi after dinner.
