Biography

Sabrina Drill is the Natural Resources Advisor for UC Cooperative Extension in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. Current areas of research and education include conservation of aquatic habitats, restoration of urban streams, terrestrial and aquatic invasive species, watershed/land use planning and habitat conservation, and fire ecology in the wildland/urban interface. She recently produced an English-as-a-Second-Language curriculum about water and watersheds. She holds a Ph.D. in Geography and a M.S. in Biology, both from UCLA, a B.S. in Biology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and an A.A. in Natural Science from Simon’s Rock College. She has studied conservation of aquatic systems in New England, the Colorado River, East Africa, and Southern California. Before joining Cooperative Extension, she worked at the Hudson River National Estuarine Research Reserve, the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Harvard University, UCLA, the University of Malawi, and the Los Angeles and San Gabriel Rivers Watershed Council.
