Great article and the link to the Sonoma County MG site is super informative! I'm using a drip system this year for the first time, and it was exceedingly simple to set up and very cost effective!

That peach tree is planted too deep.

Fascist Nation, regarding your comment "That peach tree is planted too deep": Thank you for your response. Regarding the planting depth, some folks plant them a little high to assure proper drainage. It depends on your soil. They may live where the soil doesn't drain well, and peach trees like good drainage or they could rot.  
By the way, this peach tree is thriving! We couldn't ask for better growth.
