Since I may be involved with this, can you provide a little clarification? Does this mean that the people with titles like Program
Rep or Senior Writer will be getting a different title and then as time goes on their essential activities will be reviewed and their pay may be modified?

Career Tracks is changing the payroll titles for non-represented employees in order to make their career paths more clear and to allow for better review of compensation trends in the labor market. Prior to this, our generic titles made it difficult to determine whether we paid equitably, for instance an Analyst could participate in one of many functions, but in Career Tracks the new title will be more specific, like a Compensation Analyst, in order to be able to more easily compare the classification (not individual position) to labor market pay.

This program does not effect essential functions of the job and there are currently no plans to adjust pay for any individual, as Career Tracks is not a salary program. However after Career Tracks is implemented, over a period of time, the SPU will be creating and implementing a salary administration plan which will, budget willing, address any inequities or market disparities we may find.

If you have any further questions about the program, please email me directly at brbbrown@ucanr.edu and I will be happy to discuss it with you.

Deb, Career Tracks applies to staff positions, not academic positions.

Is there a site where I can look a title code and get the information associated with that title code?
