The ninth biennial conference of the national Association of Natural Resource Extension Professionals (ANREP) was held May 18–May 22, 2014 in Sacramento. Hosted this year by UC ANR, the theme this year was “Golden Opportunities: The Role of Education and Community Engagement in Sustaining Natural Resources.”
Topics connected many natural resource and community engagement disciplines and included wildlife, forestry, water quality, fisheries, sustainability, youth education and community engagement.
A keynote address was delivered by Karen Ross, Secretary, California Dept. of Food and Agriculture. Workshop sessions included the broad topics of water, energy, forestry and rangeland science, technology tools, and environmental education and community development. The conference included workshops, panel discussions, a poster session, and field trips.
