Placer County 4-H Sheep Coordinator Group is excited to announce the offering of the first Sheep Field Day at the Gold Country Fairgrounds on January 24, 2015 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Presentations of nutrition, genetics/AI, carcass evaluation, livestock judging, wool spinning, and dairy will all occur. Additionally, a lamb lunch will be available. Prepared by the wonderful local chef, Ty Rowe, of Bootleggers Restaurant in Auburn. The event itself is free and open to 4H, FFA and others in the community interested in learning more about sheep in and out of Placer County.
In conjunction to all the presentations taking place, Shaul's Manufacturing from Live Oak will be there with products available for purchase. http://www.shaulsmfg.com/
