A big thank you to all who participated in Fair Appreciation Day! I wasn't able to make it this year, but heard that there was a great turn out. The work accomplished was much appreciated!
Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 21, at the 4-H Center. Come see the Fashion Revue Show and support the event.
Will your club or project be at Ag days at the fairgrounds this year? If so, let me know and I will give you some flyers. Thank you!
The next CQ rep meeting will be on Thursday, March 26th. All clubs need to have a rep in attendance. The T-shirt order form is attached to this blog. All orders must be in by March 26th at the meeting.
Hi,
My business is the production of fishing flies. We use many types of feathers in the production of our flies and there are some of these feathers that are difficult to procure.
I am not sure what programs 4H has in regards to raising poultry. My thought was I could purchase the eggs of these birds or buy a breeding pair and have someone raise them. I could purchase the birds or we could try harvesting the feathers without slaughtering the birds. The birds I need are Blue Eared Pheasant and Rhea, an ostrich like bird.
Please let me know if 4H is interested in pursuing a project like this.
Thanks,
Doug

I have 40 alpacas in Penngrove that I'd like to donate or give away to good homes. My mother takes care of them now, but she's 77 and having her shoulder replaced in a few weeks. The animals are Huacuya alpacas. We used a few different breeders in Oregon and California so there are some well know bloodlines represented. There are both Peruvian and Chilean animals. Their colors range from black to light fawn. I don't have a problem with breaking the heard up. However, I wouldn't want to give away single animals because they don't tend to do well if they don't have at least one alpaca buddy. Contact Judy to see photos.

Registration Process Changes (as of February 26)
After receiving feedback from several staff, the planning team revisited the registration costs and process and have made several modifications that should enhance the ability for counties to send representatives. We hope this approach will work better for counties, but do recognize there are disadvantages (as with any approach), and appreciate your patience with these modifications.
The total symposium cost per individual is $382 which covers most meals, materials, educational sessions, and other program expenses; this excludes travel, lodging, and Thursday dinner.
