Giving Tuesday is a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, nonprofits, families, businesses and students around the world came together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give. The California 4-H Foundation set a goal to raise $10,000 overall for California 4-H, inspire 100 new donors, and recruit new 4-H volunteers. The California 4-H Foundation Board agreed to match the first $5,000 in donations.
Together the 4-H Foundation beat their goal on #GivingTuesday and raised $13,780 in the #4HGiving Confidence Campaign! This includes over $6,000 in matching gifts from the California 4-H Foundation and Foundation Board. Placer County 4-H received the most donations in the state.
Thanks to all the volunteers, families and supporters that came together on this day. Hopefully it kick-started your year-end giving and exposed the great work we do every day to change kids' lives through 4-H.
