Author Brook Gamble's commentary on UC ANR's new CalNat (which is patterned after the new Citizens Science Association) proclaims that "More feet on the ground...with the advent of hand-held devices, apps, high resolution camera phones and Internet connections that know no geographic boundaries...", and is reminiscent of a Biblical story referred to as "an etiological myth in the Book of Genesis."

Google "tower of babel story" and select Wikipedia's "Tower of Babel" for interesting comments on a "...crowd-sourced approach to gathering information."
