Jefferson 4-H hosted it's 55th annual Spaghetti/Tri-Tip Dinner. The yearly tradition allows Jefferson 4-H to hold just one fund raiser for the entire year. The funds raised are used to support every project that needs a special a purchase, such as bee keeping suits or a rabbit scale, and it also allows Jefferson to donate funds to charities and community events.
This is a whole club commitment. The cooking group and board members make the sauce, the members sell tickets to the event and serve the guests, The older teens serve in the kitchen filling plates and all parents step up and take on a task to make the dinner a success. Another part of the event is a silent and live auction. Each project donates a basket to the event as well as local families and businesses. This year unique donations came from many contributors, ranging from breakfast in bed to baby-sitting services and live chickens ready to lay eggs.
