Happenings at Hopland REC

Recently at Hopland REC a few novel approaches have been taken to manage our flock of over 800 Western whiteface sheep. We share our landscape with numerous wildlife species and need many and varied tools in our toolbox to help protect them including fencing, guardian animals and mob grazing.

Thanks for sharing the news clipping. Now I am wondering if my neighbor Dave Lewers and Jim Lewers are related, and what ever happened to a fellow who was doing predator control there 40+ years ago when I was working on my MS and gave me some deer tissue samples. He left and went to work in Animal Damage Control with the Feds.

Dear Earle, I believe they might be related. I don't think I can track down who was working in Animal Damage, but will see what I can do. Thanks for your comment
