The first Thursday of every month on In the Garden, UC Master Gardeners and KUCI staff hosts Teena Spindler and Katrina Kirkeby will bring you the monthly checklist for what needs to be done in the upcoming month in your garden.
It's July and the heat is coming.
So is the Orange County Fair starting Jul 15th where we Master Gardeners will be to answer your garden questions!
In the meantime, stay cool and consider your shade garden. And here's just one small tip to think about.
When you water your plants, be certain to occasionally flush out those plants such as Bromeliads that tend to pool water in their “cups”.
Any long-standing pool of water is a breeding ground for mosquitos.
