Happy Holidays from the hosts of In the Garden with UC Master Gardeners!
Two topics will be covered this week that are timely and relevant to this region this time of year.
The first half of the show is all about Bareroot Planting. Host Teena Spindler speaks with local nurseryman Gary Matsuoka about what it takes to successfully plant and grow favorite bareroot material such as roses and fruit trees.
The second half of the show this week will be on the subject of Drought Tolerant Landscaping. Host Mark Fierle interviewed fellow UCCE Master Gardener Eric Katzmeier about water-thrifty gardens. This subject also supplements last week's show on tips from the Irvine Ranch Water District.
