I captured a large moth (about 4") from my outside screen. It was brown, triangle shaped, and it had orangish patches at the bottom of each wing. But to my amazement, it displayed an orange glow like a lightning bug (only much larger) from its belly area. The glow was bright, then faded, bright, then faded. Never saw anything like it. In fact I was so in awe that I failed to photograph it (doh!). After about ten minutes, I released it from my Starbucks' coffee cup. Anyone have any information on a moth with these characteristics? Thank you for any help.
