I always enjoyed that grove when I was in school there. It's nicer and better developed now.

I love Oak trees as well. Growing up on an acre in Santa Barbara, I spent a lot of time in the oak trees. People around here climb rocks, we climbed trees. We had 5 tree houses at one point. My dad channeled the Swiss Family Robinson story.

I will have to check this out. As your oak investigations included a hike up Division Creek? We went on one trip there to see the beautiful lupines in bloom and hiked to the higher elevations to find some beautiful old oak trees.

Bishop City Park has a few different Oak Trees planted on the knoll near the bike path. Always interesting to see the different growth habits.
