June Gloom?
Maybe. The sky might look gloomy but not the garden!
“This Month in the Garden” is this week's show on In the Garden with UC Master Gardeners. UC Master Gardeners and KUCI staff hosts Katrina Kirkeby and Ann Liu will let you know what is going on garden-wise for the month of June.
Perennials start blooming around now so you'll find some beauties at your local garden center. Be on the lookout for pest damage.
Most common would be thrips and whiteflies. Thrips can distort flowers but you often can't tell it is them because they are so small. But whiteflies are another story as you find them on the underside of the leaves with the white spirals of giant whiteflies so evident.
