Just try to grow it on purpose. It will die right away! ;-)

One great thing about gardening in Chalfant--not even the weeds will grow--except, of course for tumbleweeds! I remember growing up in Ventura County that we used to grow dichondra in the shady areas of our lawn. It's funny to think of it growing in our hot, dry climate.

The dichondra was growing around the base of Blueberries which are, of course, kept more moist than most thing growing in our desert climate. It grew on top of the peaty mulch, sending its roots well down.
