Interesting article. I too have noticed that the landscape roses respond very well to trimming with hedge trimmers. Do you have a list of the best performers that I could use when designing a renovation project?

Kimberly, we should have the latest rose results up on the CCUH website soon: http://ccuh.ucdavis.edu/Resources/plant-trials  
I will work on a list of the best roses we've evaluated. So far, I'm impressed with Iceberg, the Drifts, Kardinal Kolorscape,and Icecap, but stay tuned because we have a lot more results coming soon. I've seen a lot of others out there too that we just haven't evaluated yet. You might check on the ARTS website ( (http://www.americanrosetrialsforsustainability.org/) and the Earth-Kind website (https://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/earthkindroses/cultivars/)- though you may not be able to locate them all.
