Rest in peace, my dear Professor Robbin Thorp. Early in my studies at UC Davis, you had inspired my interest in entomology and the love of bees 🐝. My girlfriend and later wife both took one of your classes together as undergraduates. When it came time to name our firstborn son, we decided to honor him with your name. You will be greatly missed, but never forgotten...😥

Dr. Thorp was always so kind and answered any bee questions I had. I am so sad to hear of his passing. His legacy will live on through his students and all of the lives he touched with his passion for bees.

What a lovely man and advocate for bees. He gave help and feedback freely and was an excellent resource for me when I had burning bee questions. He was so kind and patient in Bee School.
