Beautiful pictures! You've inspired me to go out looking for sleeping bees.

I'm 59 and for the 1st time in my life I saw two bumblebees sleeping inside a flower on my sunflower plant Wednesday,July 12, 2023. It was such a beautiful sight to experience.

I just saw a bunch of bees hanging from the oregano plant they can’t get enough of. I looked closely and saw that they were all sleeping. It was dusk. This morning they are up and back at it. So darn cute.

Your information helped me so much. I have some wishbone flowers that are purple. I fool with all my flowers constantly. I’ve made a friend of one of the bumble bees. When he hears me at day time, he flies straight to the wishbone flower while I dead-head them. He climbed up my finger and sits on my hand. I talk really low and let him know he’s not going to be harmed. I’ve been going out earlier and there are heavy dews and I find him like he’s laying on the wishbone flowers and he doesn’t move. Thanks to you, I now know he’s sleeping. I was actually worried about this little amazing creature. I thought the dew had gotten him too wet and he couldn't move. It really amazes me that he knows my voice and flies to that flower and climbs up my hand and sits he cleans his antenna and hasn’t SO FAR tried to sting me. I hope he doesn’t because I’ve actually gotten pretty fond of him.

Saw a bumblebee sleeping on our salvia. We didn’t know that the bee was sleeping until we came across your page on the internet.
