Hi,
This is to answer the people looking to buy a GEM avocado tree. There is a commercial nursery in Fallbrook that can make you an avocado tree of any variety, on any rootstock. You will have to order it and pick it up 6 months later, but you can get a GEM. I just ordered some GEM trees from "Subtropica" also known as Eli's Farms. You can email Eli at ehofshi@email.com or call him at 760-468-3370. We are lucky to have this nursery so close to us in southern California.

Why is it so difficult for homeowners to buy a GEM tree after all the research to develop this variety comes from a public university funded by taxpayers.
