This was the first day of class for our students. They met and learned about each other's farming hopes and plans, toured Shone Farm on a hay ride hosted by Leonard Diggs, Farm Manager, and began to look at how to turn their farming and ranching dreams into a successful business.

Check out "Growing for Market" magazine - a great publication, full of really useful information and resources! You might have picked up a copy of the January 2012 issue at our Orientation. If so, you'll find information about NRCS funding for hoop houses. Contact the local office in Petaluma (707/794-1242) for details, as there is one more funding cycle that ends June 1.
