Who We Are

News & Information Outreach in Spanish (NOS)

News & Information Outreach in Spanish (NOS) is a communications unit within the University of California's Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources. The program was established in 1981 to assist in preparing and disseminating research-based information and public outreach findings to Spanish-speaking audiences in California.

NOS is a statewide program, based at UC Riverside, and under the direction of the Office of Governmental and External Relations, is responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, and promotion of Spanish-language information and educational materials.

NOS works to find new ways to better reach and serve Spanish-speaking audiences in the state and to develop the appropriate information and educational materials that will help them improve their lives.

News & Information Outreach in Spanish is geared to help ANR researchers, advisors, specialists and program staffs reach Spanish-speaking audiences, and one of the ways to accomplish this goal is working closely with the Spanish-language broadcast and print media.

NOS invites ANR personnel to take full advantage of the services the unit provides so California's Spanish-speaking communities can benefit from the Division's research, programs and outreach efforts.
