Event Details

The Antelope Valley 4-H Shooting Sports training team will be offering a project leader class for Pistol Certification offered in southern California on February 17, 2018.

Participants: Participants must become a 4-H leader or member to receive certification to lead the pistol shooting sports discipline at the project, club and camp levels. Junior and teen leaders are invited but must attend with an adult or have a certified shooting sports adult leader they will be assisting back home. Space is limited to 12 participants.

Certification: Participants must attend both days to receive certification to lead any of the shooting sports disciplines at the project, club and camp levels. 

Registration: Cost is $35 per person. Registration form, 4-H Medical Release and a check payable to "AV 4-H Shooting Sports" are due Friday February 9, 2017, 8 days prior to the class. Please see the Deadlines calendar for more registration details.

What to expect: Registered participants will receive a resource binder, with Saturday lite breakfast refreshments. The course will include a PowerPoint lecture, review of equipment, practice shooting and teaching, and a written test.

Equipment: All equipment will be provided, if you choose, you may bring your own firearms, ammunition and eye and ear protection.

Other: You are responsible for lunch so it is recommended you bring one.
