In this workshop, a lesson from “Bio-security in 4-H Animal Science,” will be highlighted as well as other state recommended animal science curriculum. This session will bring current animal science training to participants and provide examples of how to include youth on both sides- as leaders and as learners - through a practice and discussion time. Participants will jump right into an activity, then discuss what happened – using the five senses- and finally analyze what’s important, why does it matter, and what’s next. The session emphasizes the importance of working with youth to practice and guide the lessons.
