Kearney Agriculture and Research Extension Center (KARE) provides professional management, land, labor and a variety of specialized facilities for agricultural and environmental research studies and extension educational activities for the benefit of all Californians. The Center has approximately 330 acres, 120,000 sq.ft. of facilities, 17 resident researchers in the Academic Unit, serves 100 off-station researchers, up to 100 research projects, 45 crops, and 33 research laboratories. The The EH&S Specialist is an integral person in a multi-faceted, highly diverse work environment. Duties involves developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental and safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations, and ensure a safe workplace.
