The Legislative Policy Analyst and Grants Coordinator uses advanced operational concepts and organization objectives to resolve highly complex issues. The incumbent is responsible for identifying, researching, analyzing, monitoring and reporting on federal legislative regulatory and policy issues and initiatives that impact UC ANR, particularly in the areas of agriculture, natural resources, nutrition education and youth development. Provides statewide coordination and high-level expertise for administering UC ANR's grants program, including the development and oversight of RFP and submission systems, proposal solicitation and peer review processes.

Serves as lead federal legislative analyst, policy coordinator, and liaison to UC's Federal Government Relations office on behalf of the VP. Regularly works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Primarily deals with programs and proposals which affect a large area of the organization or organization-wide initiatives. Develops and oversees the implementation of new programs and processes.
