Curriculum

PSSC
Plan, Shop, Save and Cook An interactive four lesson curriculum that promotes MyPlate messaging. Lessons cover meal planning to include the MyPlate food groups, how to shop with a grocery list and use unit pricing to get the most for your food dollars. Food safety and preparing a healthy,                                        low-cost recipe are also covered. 

 

ESBA
Eating Smart Being Active Developed by the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), Eating Smart Being Active is an evidence based, nutrition education and obesity prevention curriculum.

 

 

 

ESLS
 Eat Smart, Live Strong An intervention designed to improve fruit and vegetable consumption and physical activity among 60-74 year olds participating in or eligible for nutrition assistance programs.

 

 

 

 

 

 Eat Healthy, Be Active Community Workshops series is based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2010 and 2008 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans. The series builds on concepts by providing detailed tips for how to put recommended behaviors into practice. The workshops are designed to move participants from the "thinking" phase to taking desired health actions.

 UCCE Connects to You! You can complete this 8 lesson program at home! Learn how to improve your health and the health of your family. Each lesson includes healthy recipes and lots of tips. Connect regularly with UC nutrition educators by phone or video chat so you can ask questions and get support. When you complete the program, you will receive a graduation certificate. We are providing this at no cost to you! Our goal is to improve the health of families in California.
