Topic | Where could I plant a tree? |
---|---|
Overview |
In order to derive maximum benefits from a landscape tree, careful planning in advance of planting is a must. The first step should be an evaluation of the potential planting site which should include determining the available space for roots and canopy and noting the location of overhead or underground utilities*. Then, select a species with the attributes you desire.
* Most cities and large utility companies offer a free service to help you identify: underground wiring or cables; and natural gas, water, or sewer lines. They ask that anyone who is doing any digging to call first. |
