Host Oaks

The goldspotted oak borer attacks have been found in the older, mature trees of three types of oak. Attacks have not been observed in small diameter oaks (<12 cm at breast height). For specific information on affected species, 'click' on the name of the oak species.
GSOB has been identified in Englemann Oak (Quercus engelmannii), but has not been found to be detrimental.
