Here's a preview of what's in store for you in the premier Spring event you won't want to miss.

The Cole Garden - Architecture and garden design blend beautifully here.  The mature landscape creates a woodland atmosphere complete with winding pathways and hidden sitting areas.  Hand-made garden art adds a whimsical accent.

The DeMonte & Howard Garden - Large purple-leaf plums provide the backdrop to a park-like setting enhanced by Bob Truxell’s landscape design.  A refreshing stream and waterfall, gorgeous shade trees and wildlife make this a tranquil oasis on a hot summer day.T

The University House Garden - This official residence of Fresno State President Dr. Joseph Castro and his family occupies 1.3 acres in beautiful Old Fig Garden.  Enjoy this unique opportunity to walk the lush, stately grounds with newer additions of drought-tolerant plants and native species.

The Kendall Garden - Master Gardener Sue Kendall, Old Fig Garden’s “Rose Lady”, welcomes you with a spectacular display of roses.  Soothing music greets you as you wander into the backyard designed with a Japanese flair, complete with koi pond.

The Motz-Husband Garden - This John Woolf-designed home built in the ‘40s is complemented by its beautiful landscape with gazebo, fruit and citrus trees.  Mature blooming vines provide shade at the edge of a sparkling pool.

Garden of the Sun - Glorious every season of the year, but especially lovely in spring, our demonstration garden is lovingly tended by devoted Master Gardener volunteers.  Don't miss the plant sale hosted specially for you!

Enjoy touring six gardens that rank among Fresno’s finest, plus Garden of the Sun, the UC Cooperative Extension  Master Gardener demonstration garden, during this 'rain or shine' event.  Garden of the Sun will feature its popular plant sale.

Most plants in the gardens will be labeled and a plant lists for each  garden is posted on the preview page.   Master Gardener docents will be on hand to answer your gardening questions.
