A very destructive citrus disease, Huanglongbing (HLB), also known as Citrus Greening, has been found by the California Department of Food and Agriculture in Los Angeles County. This bacterial disease is spread by the Asian citrus psyllid (ACP), already present in areas of southern California. Huanglongbing is a Chinese word meaning "Yellow Dragon Disease," describing the yellow shoots that develop on infected plants.
