Garden Based Learning
Garden Based learning is a program to train teachers methods to educate students in a garden setting about the environment, agriculture, and conservation allowing teachers to meet the California State Standards in math, science, and language arts in a garden environment. The SLO County Garden Based Learning Program (previously known as Junior Master Gardeners is dedicated to providing assistance to SLO County Schools (K-12) through consultation, on site garden development, teaching materials, teacher workshops, and student specific lectures and experiments.
