Sports Shooting & Archery

Enrollment in this program is now closed for the year, as of November 1, 2023. Enrollment will open again in late summer of 2024.

The Archery and Sports shooting program meets October to June (weather permitting)!! Meetings are the 2nd Saturday of each month, October to June (May for Archers) and the winter months are always weather dependent. 

The 4-H Shooting Sports Project prepares youth 9 years of age (as of December 31 of the 4-H program year) and above to properly handle, maintain, and discharge the following:

Archery
Pistol 
Shot gun
Rifle  

Enrollment in this program must be completed by November 1, 2023! This means the member must be enrolled in the online enrollment system and have paid their annual enrollment fee. Archery and Shooting Sports meet at the Nevada County Sportsmen's Club in Nevada City (map). The mandatory safety training class will be offered at the October and November meetings ONLY. New members must complete the safety training in order to participate in Shooting Sports.
