Personnel
Current members of the Oak Woodland Conservation Workgroup include the UC Specialists that were formerly part of the IHRMP, campus faculty whose programs include range, wildlife and/or forestry management, county-based farm advisors working on various natural resource issues and others in the University with an interest in hardwoods including oaks. In addition, the Workgroup includes several individuals outside of UC that are especially interested in oak woodland conservation.

UC Contacts for More Information on Oak Woodlands
Regional Cooperative Extension Specialists are located throughout the State to develop applied research and outreach programs addressing conservation of oak woodlands - also called hardwood rangelands - in cooperation with local Cooperative Extension offices and various agencies and interest groups. In addition, six county-based Farm Advisers are a formal part of the Oak Conservation Program and work on high-priority hardwood-related projects. Click on the names on the right for more information about those in UC working on oak woodland issues. Bill Tietje is the current chair of the OWCW.
