Land Access & Acquisition

Securing land is the foundational step to beginning farming or ranching.  Throughout the state, the number of potential farmers who have the necessary skills and are committed to a future in farming is growing.  However there is one common problem -- they lack the capital necessary to obtain the land needed to farm. The following organizations specialize in assisting aspiring farmers and ranchers with land acquisition.  They will help find land opportunities, access appropriate financing, negotiate tenure agreements or intra-generational farm transitions, and/or create easements to protect agricultural land and ensure appropriate land values.
