Educational Gardens at the County Ag Center

Composed of 6 distinct but interconnected gardens, the Learning Landscape is open to visitors 24 hours a day - 7 days a week .

Educational signs tell the story of each garden section, and brochures with plant lists and other useful gardening information are available from the entry kiosk.  UC Master Gardeners are available on site Tuesday-Thursday, 9 am to 12 Noon in the office to answer homeowner gardening questions.  Professionals may contact the Advisor: see the Contact Us tab of this website.

The Foliage Garden

A garden that shows how to create year-round interest that relies on interesting foliage colors and textures instead of blooms.

The Edible Landscape

Demonstrating how to combine plants for food with regular landscape plants.

The Mediterranean Garden

Plants from the 5 regions of the world with climates similar to ours; shows how to combine them for a garden adapted to our area.

The Pollinator Garden

Filled with flowering plants that provide pollen and nectar for pollinators and other beneficial insects.  Something is always in bloom!

Showcasing a variety of garden-worthy native plants adapted to our region.
