Coordinating Academic Planning

A Conversation with Campus Dept. Chairs, County Directors and Program Council Members

Facilitated by Shelley Murdock

Academic planning involves prioritization of research and extension areas and development of position descriptions to fill hiring needs. This will be a facilitated discussion to describe how academic planning is done in campus departments and ANR with an eye towards improving communication and coordination of program planning and hiring. Key participants will include Department Chairs, County Directors, and Program Council Members.  The objective is to have an open conversation to improve transparency and identify strategies that integrate academic planning between ANR and campus departments.
