Welcome to the WAS Home Page
Welcome to the home of the Western Apicultural Society
The members of the Western Apicultural Society (WAS) welcome you to examine our site to learn more about our Society, to become a member, or to preregister for our Annual Conference.
If you have an idea of specifically what information you desire, you can see every entry on this site by clicking the "Site Map" button above. Each entry has a link directly to the topic of interest.
If you have questions about honey bees or beekeeping, we suggest that you contact Dr. Eric Mussen, Extension Apiculturist, University of California, Davis - 530-752-0472 or at firstname.lastname@example.org. If Dr. Mussen does not have a ready response, he is familiar with the country's honey bee researchers, extension specialists, and regulatory personnel, so he should be able to forward your request to a knowledgeable individual.
Please see the Special Announcements for details concerning an upcoming comprehensive, two-day course on bees and beekeeping being held at the Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming, March 22-23.
