National Institutes for Water Resources-NIWR - NIWR provides state-based funding to promote research, training, information dissemination, and other activities designed to meet the needs of the state and the nation in areas of water management, development, and conservation.Salinity/Drainage Program - The Salinity/Drainage Program develops, interprets, and disseminates research knowledge on salinity, drainage, selenium and other toxic element problems in the San Joaquin Valley. The program works closely with state agencies and supports research, extension, and education activities.
Water Quality Program - The UC Cooperative Extension Water Quality Program seeks to reduce the need for restrictive regulation and, in a manner that maintains agricultural productivity, avoid economic hardship and sustain an economical, safe supply of food and fiber.
