2017 SOD Blitz

 

This 2017 Sudden Oak Death Blitz is being hosted by the UC Master Gardener Program of Sonoma County SOD Specialists, and funded by the US Forest Service.

Saturday, June 3, 9:30-10:30AM 

  • Spring Lake Park Environmental Discovery Center. Use park entrance at Violetti Drive, upper parking lot. 393 Violetti Drive, Santa Rosa
  • Graton Community Club, at Main and N Edison in Graton
  • Sonoma Community Center, 276 E Napa St, Sonoma
  • Galbreath Wildlands Preserve, meet at the Yorkville post office 25400 CA-128, Yorkville at 9:00AM (Note: must bring a 4 wheel drive vehicle, or park at the post office then be a passenger in a Sonoma State University vehicle other vehicle designated by coordinators; advanced rsvp required.  Children (age 17 and under) are allowed to participate in the Galbreath blitz, but they MUST be accompanied by a legal guardian; they can come without a guardian if they're with a group with a leader who can legally take on that role (ie girl scout group).

Wednesday, May 31, 5:30-6:30PM

  • Petaluma Community Center, 320 N McDowell Blvd, Petaluma

This one-hour meeting will provide you the information and supplies you need to participate in this citizen scientist project. More about the SOD Blitz.
