California Weed Science Society 2020 schlorship questions

The California Weed Science Society (CWSS) is preparing for the 72th Annual Conference (January 22-24th, 2020 in Monterey) and is now accepting applications for the Student Paper and Poster Contest.

This is an excellent opportunity for students to present research, improve their presentation skills, and network with professionals working in weed science. Papers or posters should consist of information gathered from research projects related to weed science and vegetation management. Students do not have to present results of their own research, but they must be familiar with all aspects of the research. Student papers and posters should be scientific in nature and should not be sales or marketing tools.

Undergraduate and Graduate students will be judged in separate categories. The number of prizes given, will depend on the number of students in each section.

FREE Conference Registration! All students entered in the contest are eligible to attend the CWSS Annual Conference for free! Students can register for the conference online at http://www.cwss.org/events/registration/

TRAVEL Assistance! Students competing in the paper and poster contest will be eligible for up to $500 travel assistance per student. Eligible students must present a paper or poster. Funding support can be used to pay for hotel, food, airfare, and/or mileage. Contact Tom Getts, tjgetts@ucanr.edu 530-251-2650 for more information about the travel assistance program.

Student LUNCH! Students attending the conference are invited to meet weed science professionals and board members at the FREE student luncheon on January 22th.
