What is the Master Gardener Program?

The Master Gardener program is a program in which adults over the age of 18 receive 50 hours of training in all aspects of home gardening and landscaping and, in return, volunteer at least 50 hours of time back into their communities over a one year period. Master Gardener priorities include sustainable, water efficient landscapes; backyard, community and school gardens; and increasing the health and vitality of communities.
