Course Schedule

The full course will be held February 19th to - March 1st, 2018 and includes nine full days of instruction. The first five days will be held on the UC Davis campus and include lectures, laboratory exercises, and field demonstrations. The following week participants embark upon a four-day field trip through fruit and nut tree growing regions of Northern and Central California.

Check-in begins at 7:00am at the UC Davis Conference Center on Monday, February 19th and the last on-campus lecture ends at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23rd.

Pricing

Participants have the option to pay for one or two weeks of the course.

The price for the one week lecture/labs course that runs from February 19th through February 23rd is $1850, and includes course materials, morning and afternoon coffee breaks, lunches for the first week of the course, and an evening graduation reception.

The price for the first and second week of the course is $2850. This option includes everything mentioned above and transportation to the field tours, site inspections, and an evening dinner.

Registration is requested no later than January 24, 2018. Refunds, less a $150 processing fee, will be granted if requested no later than January 24, 2018.


Logistics

Participants are responsible for their own housing (reservations and payment) during the first week of the course.

Participants in the two week course are required to pay for their two night field tour lodging upon enrollment ($200). Participants are also responsible for their overnight stay in Davis on February 25th. Please make your own reservation at a local hotel of your choice. NOTE: Field tour lodging payments are NOT refundable after January 24, 2018.

Participants will have access to a non-secured campus guest wireless account that is available throughout the entire UC Davis campus.

For the field tour lodging you may request single or double room accommodations which include tax, internet and continental breakfasts. You will be responsible for your own meals except for those specifically noted as included in the program fee.

Yolo County Visitors Bureau (http://www.yolocvb.net/davis) provides information on travel to Davis, including information on the airport shuttle, taxi services, and train and bus travel.
