ANR Information Technology provides a range of technology services that support the academic personnel and staff of the Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR). The office supports more than 1500 extension professionals on three campuses, nine major field research and extension centers and more than 64 cooperative extension offices across the state.

The role of the Sr. Systems Administrator is to ensure the security and stable operation of ANR’s environment through proper planning, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting. This position will resolve cloud, infrastructure, and software issues in a timely and accurate manner and document outcomes in the ANR ticketing system. The Sr. Systems Administrator will support other IT staff and provide end user support when needed. The primary distinction of the Senior designation comes with the additional responsibility of cross-training junior staff including System Administrators (level 4 and below), Network Administrators (level 5 and below), and other IT colleagues as requested. The Sr. System Administrator is responsible for ensuring that the role is fully documented and all system access is securely documented to ensure ANR is not beholden to a single point of failure. Staff in this position will be relied upon for systems design, considering how the system will interact with the cloud, the network, and applications across ANR’s enterprise.

This position is a career appointment that is 100% fixed.
