Garden Tours at 9am & Solar Viewing 10am-noon at the Sherwood Demonstration Garden, FLC

At 9am there will be Free Garden group tours for individuals, families and friends. There are 16 individual demonstration gardens ranging from the Shade Garden to the Rock Garden and everything in between!

10am-12noon observe the Sun safely thru two types of solar telescopes. The Community Observatory, which is adjacent to the Garden, will setup their Hydrogen-Alpha telescopes that allow us to safely view sunspots, solar flares, filaments, and solar prominences.

These tours are on the 1st Saturday of each month.

All events at the Sherwood Demonstration Garden and the Community Observatory, night and day, are free to the public.

(The Garden rest rooms are at the Observatory, adjacent to the Garden.)

Spend $2 to park and get both the Garden and safely observe the surface of the Sun with Observatory solar docents.

Makes for a cheap date with only the $2 parking fee!
