Yosemite Field Station invites YOU to a Yosemite California Naturalist course Emerald Cove Outdoor Science Institute in Bass Lake. This is a full 7-day week of learning geology, forests, water, and animals of the Sierra. Many voices from various backgrounds will fill out the instruction team including: the Mono Tribal Chairperson, present field researchers, professors, and experienced presenters. Highlights include bat experts for October's “Bat Month” and Greg Stock, the guy who literally “wrote the book” on Yosemite geology. Participants will come away with a new understanding of the bioregions of California, especially the Sierra Nevada Range.
