Are you a gardener with a vegetable garden, or a gardener that wants to have a vegetable garden? The Master Gardeners of Yolo County presents a monthly chat which focuses on how to plan for and work in the year-round edible garden with tips for the gardener on what to plant each month, what chores should be done, and what you could be eating from your garden. Join UCCE Master Gardener, Treva Valentine for a “Kitchen Garden Chat” on Saturday, July 2, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Join in the conversation in person at the Woodland Public Library Leake Conference Room (250 1st Street, Woodland) or on Zoom (https://ucanr.zoom.us/j/98028723763).
This month’s chat will provide an overall look at the summer garden, including what to harvest and what can be planted in the summer heat of July in addition to solutions for the best way to store what you have reaped from your garden. Information will also be provided on pest observation and controls. The summer edible garden may leave you feeling as if you don’t want to see another zucchini, however, July is a good time to think and organize for the fall garden. Attend this chat for the tips you need to keep the year-round edible garden viable in the fall.
If you are unable to attend the July “Kitchen Garden Chat” you may get help and/or advice for any type of garden by phone through the Master Gardener Hotline (530.666.8737) or by sending your question via email to email@example.com. Someone will get back to you.
Ongoing class presented by UCCE Master Gardener-Yolo, Treva Valentine the
first Saturdav of each month.
